Chardonnay of PVA is ONE of a KIND: How many other alpacas can boast of being not only 4th Generation Color Champions, but also 3rd Generation IAO Best Head Winners? (Only one other, his sister Chablis!)

Chardonnay has a fine roster of blue ribbons to his name, in addition to his Reserve Color Championship at the 2010 GWAS. At the 2012 IAO he took first place in the Walking Fleece class. He took first and Best Head at the 2011 IAO, also a first at the 2011 AOBA Nationals, the Futurity, and the GWAS. Chardonnay’s dam is Syrah of PVA, a 2nd Generation International Alpaca Odyssey Supreme Color Champion and Best Head winner. She also was the 2006 AOBA National Show color Champion. Through his dam, Chardonnay is half-brother to Shiraz of PVA, the 2010 IAO Color Champion and 2010 AWE Reserve Color Champion. Chardonnay’s full sister, Chablis of PVA, is 4th Generation IAO Supreme Champion (2010) and 3rd Generation Best Head, Reserve Color Championship at the 2010 GWAS. In 2011 she got a first place and won Best Head at the 2011 IAO, the same years as Chardonnay. She has produced one of the best PVA crias ever, WYNN of PVA, by 4x Judges’ Choice winner Chakotah’s Wyuna.

Chardonnay’s sire is Macgyver’s Balboa, the 2011 Futurity Dark Herdsire of the Year and 2-Time Reserve Herdsire of the Year whose offspring have been awarded more than 43 Color Championships. Through his sire, Chardonnay is half brother to Esmerlado of PVA, GWAS Color Champion, CABA Classic Color Champion and 2012 IAO Reserve Color Champion; Lucieno of PVA, who won a Reserve Color Champion.

At nearly four years of age, Chardonnay’s second fleece is just as lustrious and bright as the one he was shown in and his fine penciled locks as sharply defined as ever. He is ready and raring to go as a young herdsire - add his fleece and genetics to your breeding program and you too could join PVA as one of the few (if not only) to produce 5th Generation Color Champions and 4th Generation Best Head winners.
